The idea was to build something that would not be just a brick and mortar structure with a heart of steel. It had to sense, feel and act. If transplanted elsewhere, say half-way across the globe, it should seem as pretty and as full of purpose. It shouldn't be just classes and books and labs full of fragile glass for the learners. Because the enemy is never fragile, it should give the students the muscle of experience to fight it every day. Because illness isn't always easy to understand, it should develop their minds. So that they learn how to reason. And because ignorance is the worst disease- it should teach them to listen. So that when teachers from other places come visiting, every once in a while, they would learn more. And because it would all be done with such kindness and generosity they'd be infused with the same spirit! so that when the poor and the weak walk in, they'd meet friends, not just doctors. And when these doctors enter the world, they'd be respected everywhere.
